In order for anyone to achieve a goal you must start by breaking things down to small steps. If you go to big you don't see results right away and you tend to give up or get discouraged. We want results right away now a days however building small gives you a level of accomplishment and keeps you on track. So start small then build your way up. You will enjoy your weight loss a lot more and have more fun.
1. Stay away from too much sugar. Sugary sodas, teas and juice drinks. Look at the labels of things you might buy to make sure. You might be able to find a substitute for that item.
2. Small portions throughout the day. Eating six to eight small meals per day is better for you than eating too big. Of course its not quantity but quality so choose wisely.
3. Eating healthy is a choice and a formed habit. Don't think of it as a diet but rather as a permanent lifestyle change that will improve your life in many ways. Eat more fruits, vegetables, fiber and and drinks lots of water.
4. Exercise, exercise, exercise! Again you don't have to go big here, moderately and consecutively everyday. Walk for fifteen minutes per day then gradually add more time. Who knows maybe you will work your way up to a run, 5k, 10k or even a marathon.
5. Reward yourself! You don't have to deprive yourself of eating out or having sweets. You just have to make better choices as to what you eat. Then eat a bit of that one food you love. You can make losing weight fun this way.
6. Check with our doctor on other suggestions or health conditions you might have that might be causing you to not lose weight as easy. It might also be that you have some health disease or condition that you don't know about that slows the process down.
7. Most importantly, educate yourself as much as you can about this topic and take what best works for you.
